When you first see a review of the Buick Enclave and the Honda Pilot, the two may seem quite similar. In truth, these two SUVs are quite different, and our team at Woodhouse Buick GMC is here to give you a clear picture.

The Buick Enclave vs the Honda Pilot Review
Since both of these SUVs are quite sizeable on the road, we figured engine power would be a reasonable point of comparison. Both models get a single-engine option to keep things simple. The Honda Pilot gets a rather underrated 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard. Sure, you can upgrade that 6-speed transmission to a 9-speed but it doesn’t do much more for overall power output.

Meanwhile, the Buick Enclave uses a similar 3.6-liter V6 that is responsible for 310 horsepower. On top of that, the Buick SUV gets a 9-speed automatic transmission as standard that makes for a much more exhilarating ride.

Let’s talk interiors. The Honda Pilot can seem rather substantial with its three-rows of seating and max cargo capacity of 80 cubic feet. That said, it falls a little short of the Buick Enclave, which sports 98 cubic feet when all three rows of seating are folded flat. The Buick Enclave also sports a 3.1 cubic-foot bin under the floor of the trunk to expand overall capacity. So, as you can see, when it comes to both power and utility spacing, the Buick Enclave is the clear winner.
